Why choose a registered contractor?
Hiring a registered contractor will guarantee that all work is carried out to the highest standards. The law requires homeowners and landlords to ensure that all electrical work in their property meets the requirements of Part P. This is the section of the building regulations that covers electrical safety in domestic settings. The easiest way to achieve this is to hire an electrician who is registered with NICEIC or another Government-approved scheme provider.
NICEIC run one of the Government approved ‘Competent Person Schemes’. This scheme provides householders with the peace of mind they need when having electrical work done in their homes. As members of the NICEIC domestic installer scheme, Arc Electrical are subject to a yearly assessment to verify the quality of our work and ensure that it meets the requirements of BS7671, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Save time and money
Arc Electrical are able to certify our own work, so there are no additional fees from having work certified and notified by a third party. We will also submit Building Control notifications on your behalf, where required, saving you both time and effort..
Not all work that is carried out is considered notifiable, as in the case of additions to existing circuits. Nonetheless all work is always installed, inspected and tested to the same safety standards. A Minor Works certificate is then issued upon completion.
Our work is guaranteed
Membership of NICEIC means that we are bound by the Platinum Promise. This protects you if any completed work fails to comply with the building regulations or relevant installation standards. If this should happen we are obliged to go back and correct the work free of charge.
The Platinum Promise is valid for up to 6 years from the completion date and covers work up to a value of £25,000.
